The highly anticipated HUMSS Pelikula Fiesta is back and bigger than ever! This year’s festival will feature 12 films across six Grade 11 HUMSS sections, offering students an exciting platform to unleash their creativity and showcase their storytelling talents.

The countdown begins with the official teaser for the third installment of Pelikula Fiesta, which will be released on December 23, 2025, both on the Humanities and Social Sciences - PWC Official Facebook Page and the Pelikula Fiesta Website. Fans can catch a first glimpse of the cinematic excitement that awaits.

​

Next, the names of the judges for Pelikula Fiesta 2026 will be announced on December 28, 2025, exclusively on the Pelikula Fiesta Website, giving audiences a preview of the experts who will evaluate the festival’s creative entries.

​

The festival continues with the release of movie posters on December 29, 2025, followed by the movie trailers on January 2, 2026, both accessible via the Pelikula Fiesta Website. These releases aim to build anticipation and excitement as the audience prepares for the full lineup of imaginative films.

The official entries will then be launched on January 8, 2026, allowing viewers to explore the diverse and innovative stories crafted by Grade 11 HUMSS students.

The grand finale will take place during HUMSS Day 2026 on January 15, 2026, where awards will be presented to recognize the most outstanding films. This event will celebrate the creativity, hard work, and vision of the young filmmakers, culminating in a remarkable cinematic celebration.

PELIKULA FIESTA 2025 : MOVIE POSTER RELEASE

The time has come! The road to HUMSS Day 2025 have officially commenced. From the several elimination rounds of HUMSS Day events scheduled in the 08th and 15th of February, Pelikula Fiesta is all set to release the official movie posters of five Grade 11 HUMSS sections on February 08, 2025 at 7:00PM. Releasing of movie posters will take place via Facebook Page of the Humanities and Social Sciences - PWC and Pelikula Fiesta Official Website.

Following the resounding success of HUMSS Pelikula Fiesta 2024, the highly anticipated event returns on February 19, 2025. This year, Grade 11 HUMSS students will demonstrate their brilliance and creativity by bringing to life various Sociological Theories under the Disciplines and Ideas in the Social Sciences subject.

Students enrolled in the Academic Year 2024-2025 are tasked with creating a short film that contextualizes different Sociological Theories in society. After weeks and months of meticulous planning and filmmaking, the students hope to win the coveted Best Film of the Year award.

​

Following the triumphant debut of HUMSS Pelikula Fiesta 2024 on May 8, 2024, the highly anticipated event returns for its sophomore year as Grade 11 HUMSS students will delve into the fascinating realm of Sociological Theories.

Christian Lloyd R. Cañas, facilitator for Disciplines and Ideas in the Social Sciences (D.I.S.S.), is meticulously preparing guidelines for the event. With only five Grade 11 HUMSS sections participating, speculation abounds. Classroom mayors' probing questions hint at a twist: a draw lots may not determine which theory each section will bring to life on screen.
